Which DSCs does Signer work with?
Signer is compatible with every Digital Signature Certificate issued by Indian Certifying Authorities, across the common certificate classes and the usual USB token families. If your organisation already uses a DSC today, chances are it will work with Signer.
How are Essentials and Pro different?
Essentials is a free bundle built around the DSC bridge, a PDF viewer and signature verification — enough for most individual professionals. Pro adds signing workflows that teams rely on: placing signatures on PDFs with a stamp, signing in batches, and inviting clients or vendors to sign.
Do I need an account to use Signer?
The Essentials features work without one. A short sign-up is required when you move to Pro — it lets us assign the licence to your organisation and issue a GST invoice.
Is Signer secure?
Signing happens on your own computer. Documents and certificates stay with you — our product is designed around that principle. The Security page covers the details.
Is a Signer signature legally recognised?
Signer uses your existing Digital Signature Certificate — the same certificate that already carries legal recognition under Indian law. Signer provides the software; your Certifying Authority provides the certificate.
Will the signature show as valid in my PDF reader?
Indian DSC signatures sometimes appear as 'validity unknown' in PDF readers until the CCA India root is trusted. Signer includes a helper that handles this in a single click, so your signed documents display as expected.
Which platforms are supported?
Signer runs on Windows and macOS. A browser version is available at signer.indhanpay.com for viewing and verifying signatures without any install.
